After a rescue from Katie’s dad, the girls soon found themselves at Katie’s with large bowls of ice cream in hand and watching a random episode of a cartoon to try a left their spirits.
“Katie, are you just going to stare at it, or are you going to open it?” Alicia asked after completing her last spoonful of ice cream.
Katie had had a smaller bowl of ice cream then the other girls, and so had completed eating before everyone else. Katie then just investigated the box with out opening it. She tilted it back and forth but only heard one object move in the box. Soon all the girls where looking to Katie. Katie then found a seam line of the plastic wrap and manage to break a small hole into the corner plastic. This wasn’t like opening a CD, witch could turn quickly ugly with how you can never find a way to take the plastic off and then final you do and then have all the sealing stickers to remove. No, this box wasn’t going to fight being open and more over didn’t want to be damage by its new owner as it was open. Katie took the top of the box off, as it slid off it squeaked a little. At it was opened, on top layer the rule book. It was very thin, look to have twelve pages at the max. Katie moved it aside to look under. In a hold was one key, five clear plastic blocks, and some gridded blank board game titles.
“We should take this to the dinning table so to better lay the game out.” Katie said and led the group to the dinning table.
Then the girls took the game pieces out and placed them around the table. They left the odd key piece inside the box. As they removed the gridded white boards the girls found some dry-erase markers that where hidden behind them. There where five; red, green, yellow, blue, and purple. There was a quick grab for the blue marker by Crystal and Krista but Krista found victory. Crystal then puppy eyed Katie.
“Mom, Krista took the blue. I’m older so I should get the blue.” Crystal pinned.
“I draw you with blond hair Crystal, while Krista has gotten stuck with pink so in the drawings you can handle getting the color yellow.” Katie said.
Crystal sighed and let it go. Alicia then took the green and took a swipe at Crystal’s arm. Crystal then completely forgot the mater over colored markers and retaliated and gave Alicia a yellow mark on her arm. This would work. Jen then took the purple marker, leaving Katie the red marker. Katie was good with this. She then opened the book entitled, guide book.
Welcome new adventures.
With most great adventure groups, a group requires a head quarters. Whether is be an inn, cave, or clubhouse, there needs to be a special place that a group my gather to start off their adventures. This brings us to your first adventure, working together to plan your dream head quarters. Decide on a location, building theme example tree house or cave and what is in your clubhouse.
When you are done, then turn to the next page for more instruction, and not before hand. This means you, game master.
Katie had to fight herself from turning to the next page. It was a bad habit. Katie was one you never minded having something spoiled.
“I say it’s a small house but part of it is a tree.” Katie said this and then made a little doodled on some scratch paper on the table to explain what she meant.
“It has to have an ultimate entertainment room.” Jen spoke up.
“All the game consoles is a must.” Krista said.
Alicia gave Krista an out stretch knuckle bump over the table.
“It would be great with a small kitchen as well.” Crystal spoke up.
Soon the girls place pieces out on the table making a dream little clubhouse. It had one main floor with a library witch held a large table to play game at, another room with a set in couch and wall screen theater. A kitchen witch was small but had the nice basics about it. Katie made sure they didn’t forget a bathroom for it would be bad if it had been forgotten. Also made note of a wrap around porch and Alicia hoped for a hot tub in the back.
“I think that is good. Lets move to the next page.” Katie said.
Use the key.
Katie gave the guild book a raised eye brow look to the guild book. She then placed the guild book down on the table and all the girls could see. Katie then took the eye out of the box. She then noticed it looked very similar her back door.
“Sweet, will it take us to Narnia?” Alicia asked.
“I say more like Rainbow Brite.” Crystal said.
“Or this could totally turn Alice in wonderland.” Jen added.
“Better yet, going to the digital world.” Krista said.
“Well, it might just be a trap of disillusions. But nothing ventured, nothing gain. Let us check out the key.” Katie said this and then made her way to the back door but stopped before that as down the other way was the coat closet and the knob on the closet seemed to glow.
She went to the door and the knob now had a key hole, something it had never had before.
“I told you, Narnia.” Alicia said.
Katie then placed the key in the key hole and opened the coat closet and opened it…to a closet of coats. Some dreams are meant to stay as dreams. But with not much help, Alicia seeing Katie’s slight disappointment pushed her into the closed and closed the door.
“Now look for the back of the closet.” Alicia said with a giggle.
“Oh, come on. I only need to take two steps,” Katie said this and took two steps but didn’t find a wall. Instead she found a stone path and could see a full moon outling a house with a tree right next too it. Alicia didn’t hear Katie’s reply, she didn’t hear Katie at all. Did she push to hard and Katie hit the back of the closet or was she mad or what? Alicia opened the door and there was no Katie.
“Jen, you go in.” Alicia said to Jen.
“Not with out me.” Krista said following Jen into the closet.
Alicia closed the door and then quickly open, and the two girls where gone. Alicia then looked to Crystal and the two them entered the closet and closed the door behind them. All the girls where now on the stone path but as Alicia and Crystal stepped onto the path it became a glow and then lights came on the porch of the silhouette house. Katie lead the group and the rest of the girls followed but Katie stopped the door mat and read the sign on the door.
