RPG-Girls Adventures #01 Fantasy 101 Pt.1

Fantasy 101 Pt. 1

The leaves in town had just started to show the slight change in color. Sweaters could bee started being worn and kids in the hallways where talking about what they where going to be for Halloween. One group very much loved Halloween. It was a time to show off there favorite loved shows by dressing up. But this year they also where distracted by something else.
“So, when are we going to play?” Alicia whined at the lunch table.
“Soon,” Katie replied and counted to draw something in her sketch book.
“How soon?” Crystal egged on.
“Sooner then later.” Katie said and this time she was getting a little annoyed.
It had been a good three weeks from the group had taken their trip to the mall and had acquired the magical game. For the first week, Katie had brought the game to school everyday and was reading a guild book from it. On the second game, Katie had gone to the school library on lunch break and would only stop by the table for a moment or two to ask questions that seemed to incline fantasy character creations. This week, being the third, Katie had come back to the table but had been drawing and coloring most of the time and would not fully show the girls what she was working on.
“The crowd is growing restless, we want to play.” Jen added.
Krista nodded while munched happily on her sandwich.
“Ok, then how about this Saturday?” Katie said closing her sketch book.
It was on. With in a few minutes the girls talked about what time would be good, who would pick up who and what kind of snacks they would bring for the happy game afternoon that would most likely go into the night but not to late as they had to return to families before ten p.m. This was decided on Wednesday and on Thursday and Friday Katie again did not sit for long with the group at the lunch table but worked on her project in the library.  Katie did pass a note around to the girls to feel free and bring sketch book and note books with them for the game night as it was going to have more of a Dungeons and Dragons game feel and they might want to take notes.
The girls arrived at Katie’s house shortly after 2pm. Making those who had chores and morning jobs where able to get them done, leaving them with the afternoon to play as they wished. Alicia had picked up Crystal and the two arrived in Alicia’s car. Jen and Krista had a parent drop them off and Katie said she would be able to take the girls home after their gaming day.
Jen and Krista had arrived at the door first. Katie opened it.
“None shall pass.” Katie said half kidding but the other you could tell Katie wasn’t.
Katie had pulled an all nighter and so looked very tired. Something Katie had a hard time dealing with, lack of sleep. Jen then held out a small bottle of Sunkist. Katie lightened at the orange soda that contained Sunkist and let the girls in. Soon after that Alicia and Crystal arrived. At the girls sat at the dinning table, they then understood why Katie had taken so much time to get them ready. On the table where self made fantasy maps, one world map, one kingdom map, and one city map. Also on the table where four character cards, one for each girl. Krista and Jen had already taken theirs and Alicia and Crystal picked theirs up quickly. Each could figure out witch ones where theirs for in the pass few weeks Katie had gotten character names, class types and race from the girls.
Alicia’s character’s name was Oakley who was a Half-elf ranger. Crystal’s character’s name was Tamora who was a Gnome rouge. Krista’s character’s name was Jasalle who is a human cleric. And Jen’s character’s name was Myung Tal who is a wizard human.
“Wait, I’m a ranger with a bad scene of direction?” Alicia asked noting her weakness.
“You have a great sense of direction when you are in a forest, you know where your favorite tree is, where to fish and the best waterfall location is. But you don’t go out of your forest much and as soon as you do, you get lost.” Katie said.
“Still doesn’t make sense.” Alicia said.
“You where curse by a gypsy as a child to always get lost because you smarted off to her about how you never get lost.” Katie, the game master, said ending the conversation.
“We really should be gaming in the clubhouse.” Jen spoke up.
“Yes, can we move to the club house?” Crystal asked.
“But I have everything set up here.” Katie pouted. “But you girls are right. Here is the key. (She handed the key to Krista as she was the closet sitting by her) Go a head and get comfy, I have to gather my things.”
Krista took the key, but did ask if Katie needed help. Katie said she was fine and there where some things she couldn’t let them see. So the girls went to the coat closet, and just light before there was a key hole to place the magical game piece key into and opened the door. This time there was another door. Alicia just surged, it had been Katie who had gone in first last time, maybe she had opened the door before the other had seen. So Alicia opened the door and stepped ahead. But instead of stepping onto the walk for the club house, Alicia found she had stepped into a medieval themed deli café. All the girls soon joined her. Also, they where now all dressed in the fantasy adventure cloths that had been on there character cards.
“Welcome ladies, what will be your order today?” A blonde haired, blue eye, very cute elf asked behind the counter.
Behind him was a large sign that read,
Opel Unicorn Café.
Start the right adventure, with the right sandwich.
